Celebrity necklace sold for charity
Sick children across the UK will benefit from the season of goodwill thanks to the £21,000 sale of the celebrity-loved Garrard Diamond and Aquamarine necklace, donated by the luxurious Brown’s Hotel of London.
WellChild, the UK charity dedicated to the needs of sick children, today received the donation from Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel, following the exciting auction of the necklace at this years legendary ICAP charity day.
Brown’s Hotel first opened its doors in 1837 and to celebrate their 170th Anniversary they had commissioned Garrard to create this unique and special necklace, which was designed incorporating inspiration from the hotel history.
A secret buyer secured the one of a kind necklace, designed using the finest 8.91 carat Aquamarine and over 3.50 carat of Diamonds. It generated considerable attention prior to the auction, as celebrities including Penny Lancaster Stewart, BBC newscaster Emily Maitlis and GMTVs and Loose Woman presenter Andrea McLean, had been seen wearing the necklace.
WellChild CEO, Kedge Martin was delighted by the large donation.
